Of course, you will visit St. Mark's square, or the Galleria dell' Accadamia. In reality, Venice is full of interesting sites that few ever people visit. It is on these that I dwell here. This list does not aim to be exhaustive, as I write I grow more focused on the omissions than on what I jot down. My first time in Venice, I have two/three days:
• 1/2 day St. Mark’s square (Basilica, Palazzo Ducale, Museo Correr, if you book Secret Itinerary of Palazzo
Ducale)
• 2 hours: Up and down the grand Canal with Waterbus No. 1 -sit outdoor
• ó day Scuola Grande di San Rocco e Chiesa dei Frari
• ó Museo dell’ Accademia or Museum Peggy Guggenheim
• ó day walking tour of churches in Castello: S. Giorgia degli Schiavoni, San Zaccaria, Basilica di San Giovanni
e Paolo and visit Venice’s Hospital (a former Scuola Grande)
• Rialto Market and Fondaco dei Tedeschi (book rooftop slot, free)

FUN THINGS TO DO:
The best way to enjoy Venice is to carry out you erranda in the city. Go to the barber, or the post office, and enjoy the city in the process.
I love going to the cinema in Venice. There are three cinemas in Venice; Rossini; Giorgione, Pasinetti. You will find them on this website. They host movies in English once a week. The film festival of the Biennale, in the Lido, is the oldest in the world. It runs during the first week of September, it is pleasant if you happen to be in Venice at that time.
The Lido is easily reachable from home with the direct ferry boat or any waterbus. It has some "belle epoque" beaches. Also, visit its airport, which was voted the most beautiful in Europe. It was never bombed during WW2, and it is one of the few airports in Europe that still conveys the atmosphere of the early aviation of the 30s.
Have a tea or drink after dinner at the Danieli hotel, which has a nice piano bar.
There is a beautiful tennis club at the Lido.
In the winter you can skate in campo san Polo.
Do you like libraries? The library of the Foundation Querini Stampalia is open until midnight.
Do you like opera? The Fenice is one of the beautiful opera houses in the world. Attend the new year's concert if you are in Venice around new year's eve.
You can play golf at the Alberoni.
Shop at Rialto's market- buy your fish there. You can reach it from my home by walking through Campo Santa Maria Formosa, and then cross the Rialto bridge.
The centre of Venice's nightlife is Fondamenta della Misericordia during the winter and Campo Santa Margherita in the summer.
